5 May 2010 Just wanted to thank you all for a superb night on the 30th. The atmosphere was amazing and of course you were all incredible, the music helps I guess. So many fans singing along and I had to laugh when you needed bouncers at the end to stop people jumping you. Does that always happen? 14 March 2010 I would just like to say that if my dad wouldn't have took me to see you at the Mathew Street Festival 2008 i wouldn't have a clue who The Smiths are. After seeing you perform i went home and went on you tube to listen to "This Charming Man" and you sounded and looked exactly the same. I was amazed. Since the 1st time i have saw you play i have went to 3 of your gigs in Liverpool o2 Academy. I am now a massive Smiths fan and it is all thanks to you. I even went to see Morrissey with my dad in November, but sadly as you may have heard it did not last long :(. Once again thank you. There was this lad next to me, who had pushed his way to the front with all his mates (7 of them) He knew every word!! I loved that. 18 April 2009 Sheffield Gig stopped during 'Stop Me' - Announcement from The Smiths Indeed: Thanks for coming along last night. You were fabulous. The gig was 'stopped' during 'Stop Me' because the pyrotechnics 'experts' touring with Propagandhi in the other room had set fire to a velvet curtain. Everyone had to be evacuated. We would normally have all been allowed back in to finish the gig, but there was some commotion outside (their 'fans' spitting & being aggressive) & the police decided it wouldn't be safe. Truly disappointed. We were having a great time. We had 4 more songs to play. We're playing Manchester Academy on Morrissey's birthday Friday 22 May.

Hey, I went to your gig last night at the Carling academy Islington. I just wanted to say that i really enjoyed your gig and the guitarist really inspired me because i have recently started playing guitar.
